Greenway Training, the largest accredited rural skills education centre in the Southwest, is seeking an organised and proactive Training Administrator to join their friendly, fast-growing team. Delivering high-quality courses to over 4,000 candidates annually, Greenway Training has built a strong reputation over the past 10 years and continues to expand.

This full-time role (8am–4pm) is based near Lyneham, within easy reach of Royal Wootton Bassett and Chippenham. You’ll be working alongside six friendly and supportive colleagues in a collaborative office environment. This is a brand-new role, created due to business growth, offering the opportunity to help shape processes and make a real impact.

The role is varied and sociable, covering candidate liaison, awarding body administration, reporting, and general office support. You’ll play a key part in the smooth day-to-day running of the training centre, ensuring candidates receive a professional and well-organised experience. Due to the rural location, a driving licence and access to a car are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Candidate Liaison & Onboarding

  • Preparing classrooms and reception areas ahead of training days.
  • Meeting and greeting candidates, ensuring a welcoming and professional first impression.
  • Taking candidate headshots for skills cards.
  • Recording attendance accurately and maintaining up-to-date candidate contact details.
  • Issuing hired kits and ensuring all required materials are provided.

NPTC City & Guilds Administration

  • Registering candidate details on the NPTC City & Guilds online portal.
  • Scheduling and registering assessments in line with awarding body requirements.
  • Uploading assessment results and ensuring timely reporting.
  • Emailing results to candidates promptly.

Lantra Course Administration

  • Registering courses on the Lantra system.
  • Preparing course material packs and ensuring resources are ready for trainers and assessors.

Reporting & Resource Planning

  • Producing weekly system reports to support course scheduling and planning.
  • Maintaining and updating the room planner for onsite courses and venue hire.
  • Coordinating machinery, equipment, and kit hire for training delivery.

Office & Administrative Support

  • Preparing supplier forms and documentation for Operations Manager review.
  • Ordering stationery, consumables, and office supplies as required.
  • Maintaining organised records and managing archiving processes.
  • Answering incoming calls and handling general enquiries professionally.
  • Processing simple course bookings and providing wider administrative support to the training team.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in an administrative or office-based role.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • A proactive, helpful approach and a strong customer-service mindset.
  • Competent IT skills, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.

About us

  • Up to £30,000, depending on experience.
