Our one-day training course is for anyone employed in the agriculture, horticulture, landscaping, and grounds maintenance industry that currently operates, or will be required to operate a hand held hedge trimmer.

Please bring photographic proof of ID and Lantra ID number (if held).

Candidates need to bring a handheld hedgetrimmer fully fueled or charged, safety helmet with mesh visor (or separate safety goggles), ear defenders, tough work type trousers, gloves, protective footwear (with good grip and protective guarding at front vamp and instep).

PPE is available to hire at our Wiltshire site at £12.50 + VAT per day, please let us know ahead of the course if you need to hire this.

Candidates should arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled course in preparation for a prompt start and bring a waterproof coat and reading glasses (if required).

This is an Integrated Training and Assessment (ITA) course, meaning the training and final assessment are combined into a single course. The instructor provides instruction and practice, and then assesses the learner's skills during the course itself, so there is no separate, independent assessment to gain the qualification.

On successful completion of the course, candidates will be awarded an electronic certificate. These are sent to your booking co-ordinator within 10 working days. Candidates can access all their certificates on LANTRA's Learner Hub. https://www.lantra.co.uk/learner-hub
