Course information

You will need to make your own provision for lunch. Tea, coffee, and biscuits will be available all day.

Delegates who use, supervise or manage the use of powered access, including scissor lifts, self-propelled boom lifts, trailer mounted boom lifts and aerial work platforms.

Please bring photographic proof of ID.

Greenway Training will provide the machinery.

Candidates should arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled course in preparation for a prompt start and be dressed appropriately in work type clothing and safety footwear (not wellington boots or trainers) and bring a waterproof coat and reading glasses (if required).

Delegates successfully completing the course will receive an IPAF Certificate and Powered Access Licence (PAL) Card valid for 5 years.

Please ensure there is a dry and warm classroom type space with wifi connection and full access to w.c. facilities.

Please ensure that there is sufficient outside level space for the practical element of this course. You will need to provide the equipment required for this course which needs to be fully fueled or charged.

For PPE, candidates need a safety helmet, high viz top, safety harness and gloves.

Pre requisites for this course

  • The ability to read and comprehend English.
  • Due to the nature of the training a minimum level of fitness will be required for specific operations. Whilst we would not want to disadvantage you as a learner, it is an essential requirement.
  • >16 years old
  • Those who need to use two categories of powered access equipment should attend the Dual Category course.
