Course information

You will need to make your own provision for lunch. Tea, coffee, and biscuits will be available all day.

Please advise the office of any reasonable adjustments five days prior to the course. Link to Reasonable Adjustments Policy

This training course will suit anyone employed in agriculture, horticulture, landscaping and grounds maintenance that currently operates, or may be required to operate, ride-on and pedestrian mowers. The duration of the course will depend on how many cutting mechanisms you want to cover.

Please bring photographic proof of ID and Lantra ID number (if held).

Greenway Training will provide the machinery. Candidates need to bring a safety helmet with mesh visor (or separate safety goggles), ear defenders and safety gloves.

Candidates should arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled course in preparation for a prompt start and be dressed appropriately in worktype clothing including toughened work trousers and safety footwear (not wellington boots or trainers) and bring a waterproof coat and reading glasses (if required).

This is an Integrated Training and Assessment (ITA) course, meaning the training and final assessment are combined into a single course. The instructor provides instruction and practice, and then assesses the learner's skills during the course itself, so there is no separate, independent assessment to gain the qualification.

On successful completion of the course, candidates will be awarded an electronic certificate. These are sent to your booking co-ordinator within 10 working days. Candidates can access all their certificates on LANTRA's Learner Hub. https://www.lantra.co.uk/learner-hub
