Course information
This course is only run on client's sites where they have a Loading Shovel available for training.

This course is for you if you need to prove your ability in safely operating a loading shovel.
Please bring photographic proof of ID and Lantra ID number (if held).

Candidates should arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled course in preparation for a prompt start.
Candidates need to be dressed appropriately in work type clothing and safety footwear (not wellington boots or trainers) and bring a waterproof coat and reading glasses (if required).
This is an Integrated Training and Assessment (ITA) course, meaning the training and final assessment are combined into a single course. The instructor provides instruction and practice, and then assesses the learner's skills during the course itself, so there is no separate, independent assessment to gain the qualification.
On successful completion of the course, candidates will be awarded an electronic certificate. These are sent to your booking co-ordinator within 10 working days. Candidates can access all their certificates on LANTRA's Learner Hub. https://www.lantra.co.uk/learner-hub

Please email the office with a site contact name, number and what3words reference. Please inform us of any site security requirements one week prior to your course.
Please ensure there is a dry and warm classroom type space with wifi connection and full access to w.c. facilities.
For the practical element of this course, we will require a loading shovel which is fully fuelled [make and model confirmed ahead of course], with full operator manual to hand and current LOLER certificate together with a practical site area with spoil/materials to be able to be moved and transported.
For PPE, candidates will need high viz top and a hard safety helmet.
