Our one day EFAW+F course includes demonstrations and hands-on practical training, teaching candidates about the different first aid techniques. Including ; Severe bleeding (i.e. chainsaw injury), Crush injury, Hypothermia and Lyme Disease. We believe that this training is equally applicable to all outdoor workers. On completing the course each attendee will leave with a First Response three-year first aid qualification recognised by the Forestry Commission.

You will need to make your own provision for lunch. Tea, coffee, and biscuits will be available all day.

The Emergency First Aid at Work course is designed to teach the learner how to treat someone who is injured or becomes ill at work, whereas a qualified First Aider has received training that includes EFAW and also equips the first-aider to apply first aid to a range of specific injuries and illnesses. An emergency first-aider is recommended for premises with small numbers of employees.

Please bring photographic proof of ID.

Greenway Training will provide the equipment.

Candidates should arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled course in preparation for a prompt start and wear practical clothing and bring reading glasses if required.

Each attendee will leave with a EFAW+F First Response three-year first aid qualification. The course meets the requirements for both the First Aid Industry Body (FAIB) and Ofqual Level 3 (RQF) requirements.

Please ensure there is a spacious warm and dry room with chairs (no tables) with plenty of floor space for the practical exercises. Wifi connection and full access to w.c. facilities is required.

Pre requisites for this course

  • Due to the nature of the training a minimum level of fitness will be required for specific operations. Whilst we would not want to disadvantage you as a learner, it is an essential requirement.
